10. This/That/These/Those Activity–"Point and Say"

Objective: Help children use "this, that, these, those" correctly to

talk about near and far, singular and plural objects.

Activity: "Point and Say" (Visual + Movement Game)
Materials:

 Real classroom objects (book, pencil, eraser etc.)
 Toy objects or cut-outs

 Flashcards with words: "this, that, these, those"

Steps:

1. Teach with real examples:

 Hold a pencil in your hand: "This is a pencil."

 oint to a book on a far table: "That is a book."
 Hold 2 erasers: "These are erasers."

 oint to 3 crayons on a distant desk: "Those are crayons."
2. Interactive Movement Game:

Place objects around the room. Call children one by one and say:

 "Pick 'this' object."

 "Point to 'that' object."

 "Show me 'these' crayons."

 "Find 'those' blocks."

3. Flashcards Practice:
Show a picture with near/far/single/multiple items. Ask:

 "What do we say? This, that, these, or those?"

4. Worksheet Extension (Optional):

Match columns or fill in the blanks:

 This (near and one)

 Those (far and many)

Learning Outcome: Children understand and use demonstratives

correctly depending on distance and number.
