How to Play:

 Mix up the cards. Children find rhyming pairs and read them

aloud.

 You can sing rhyming songs or poems along with it.

Skills: Phonemic awareness, memory and reading readiness.

6. Picture Description Practice

Objective: Encourage language expression and vocabulary.

Materials:

 Simple colourful pictures (e.g., park, zoo, home, birthday party)

How to Play:

 Show one picture and ask: "What do you see?"

 Help them to speak in full sentences: "I see a dog. "The girl is

running."

Skills: Observation, sentence building and speaking.

7. Sight Word Treasure Hunt

Objective: Recognize common sight words (I, is, the, am, we, he,
she).

Materials:

 Word flashcards hidden around the classroom.

 Word wall.

How to Play:

 Children hunt for hidden words and stick them under the correct

heading on the word wall.

 Each child reads the word they found.

Skills: Word recognition and early reading.
