2 Sentences
Learning Objectives

• explain how sentence is formed.
• discuss that sentences are the basis of speaking and writing.
Learning Time
A sentence is a group of words that makes a complete sense. Each sentence
has a subject, which tells us what that sentence is about.
Read the following group of words.
my
is brother he younger
These words make no sense.
He is my younger brother.
These words make a sense and has meaning.
Thus, it is a complete sentence.
Know More
A sentence always starts with a capital letter and ends with a full stop (.), a question
mark (?) or an exclamation mark (!).
A sentence must have a verb and an object.
